ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS – I understand that:      

·        I am committing to attend both the Part 1 & 2 sessions on the dates and times scheduled.

·        This training will be fully remote/virtual, provided on-line via Zoom platform. 

·        I understand that I must be available to participate throughout the entire 6 days of training, without other obligations such as childcare or other interruptions.

·        I understand that I must have a computer with a video camera and microphone (not a smartphone or Chromebook computer) that I am able to use throughout the 6 days of training and 10 hours of consultation.    I understand that I am responsible for ensuring that I meet the minimum specifications and that I have adequate internet capacity/service to be able to attend the entire training.  I also understand that I need to have some type of back-up alternative in case my internet goes down, such as hotspot on a phone, or Myfi.  If I am not able to attend the entire training, I understand that I will have to repeat the training at another time and pay to enroll again.

·        I understand that all trainees are required (by the EMDR International Association) to have their video cameras on, and to be visible to trainers, throughout the 6 days of training.

·        Group consultation will be scheduled separately from the 2 training weekends.  It will require participation in 5 2-hour sessions via Zoom that may be scheduled during daytimes or evenings. If I am not able to attend all 10 scheduled hours, I understand that I will be required to pay an additional fee to make up for the consultation sessions ($30/hour).

·        EMDR Therapy Basic Training, including consultation hours, must be completed within a 1-year period (from the start of Part 1 training).

·        Francine Shapiro’s text Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):  Basic Principles, Protocols, and Procedures (3rd edition, 2017) is required reading for this course, and must be purchased separately.  Reading should begin prior to the start of Part 1 training.

·        I am currently working in an environment in which I am providing clinical services and I understand that I will be expected to use EMDR therapy with clients both between Part 1 and 2 training, as well as after Part 2 training.

·        This training includes a required practicum, in which I will be doing my own EMDR therapy with another trainee, and this may involve tapping into unconsciously held (and previously unknown) trauma material.

  • 40 NBCC CE hours are available after completion of Part 1 and 2 training.

  • 40 NASW-MA credits are available after completion of Part 1 and 2 training.

·        Because this is an on-line remote training, a test is required at the end of the course that will ask content-related questions.  I understand that I will be required to complete that test, but that my successful completion of this course is not dependent on receiving any particular score on this test.  (Everyone will be given the questions up-front and be able to listen for answers throughout the training, and then tested on the same questions at the end).

FEES: $1300 total, which includes 6 training days, 10 hours of group consultation, PDF manual, other handouts and protocols, 40 continuing education hours from NBCC or NASW-MA.

Note cancellation policy: full refund minus $100 administrative fee for a cancellation with more than 30 days notice prior to the start of training, and a $200 administrative fee for a cancellation between 14 and 30 days notice. No refunds with less than 2 weeks (14 days) notice.
