Julie Rosen, LICSW, MPH

Julie Rosen is EMDR Certified, an Approved Consultant, and an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training provider, as well as a Facilitator with EMDR Trauma Recovery / Humanitarian Assistance Programs. She was the founding Coordinator of the EMDR Trauma Recovery Network in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and she is a member of the Boston Area Trauma Recovery Network.  Julie has provided EMDR training extensively in southwestern US, including New Mexico and Arizona, as well as in Hanoi, Vietnam, and in the Boston area since 2019.

Julie has a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University, as well as an MPH from Harvard University School of Public Health. While her particular area of clinical expertise is trauma/PTSD, her psychotherapy work addresses a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, domestic violence, dissociative disorders, and addictions.

In addition to her years practicing as a trauma psychotherapist, Julie has worked as a trainer, educator, mediator, program developer, and facilitator, with marginalized and traumatized populations, in a variety of public health settings over many years, both in Boston and Albuquerque, NM.  Some of her past work includes Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (Co-Executive Director), Whittier Street Health Center (Director of Public Health Programs), Cambridge Human Rights Commission (Fair Housing Coordinator), Support Committee for Battered Women (Education and Outreach Coordinator), Casa Myrna Vazquez (Program Evaluator), and Coordinator of a Prison Peer Education Program in the state prison system in New Mexico. 

 

Training Facilitators

Peg Correia, M.Ed., MLADC

Peg was trained in EMDR therapy in 2002, she is Certified in EMDR Therapy, and an Approved Consultant. She is a Trauma Recovery/EMDR Therapy Humanitarian Assistance Programs Facilitator, and has been facilitating Julie’s trainings since 2019. She is also the Approved Consultant for the Trauma Recovery Network of Southern New Hampshire. In addition, Peg is a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider. Peg has a private practice in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where she specializes in treating addictions and complex PTSD. Peg finds EMDR Therapy to be the fastest and most efficient way to treat PTSD and other behavioral health issues.

Lucia Gadney, LPC

Lucia Gadney is a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor, licensed in both New Mexico and Texas, and has 25 years of clinical work experience. She has extensive experience working with specialty courts addressing mental health and substance use disorder issues, and specializes in trauma as well as other issues from anxiety to behavior changes due to mild traumatic brain injuries. She is the clinical director for Pinnacle Social Services and provides therapeutic services to adults, adolescents, and children over the age of 5. Lucia also works with veterans and their families. She is certified in EMDR therapy, an Approved Consultant, and has been facilitating EMDR trainings with Julie since 2017. She is also Board-Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN) and is a certified Acudetox specialist (CADS-TX). In her free time, Lucia loves nature and spends much of her free time hiking and exploring her native Chihuahuan desert. She strongly believes nature is healing and will often recommend it as an adjunct to the therapeutic services she provides.

Jessica Berenson, LCSW

Jessica is certified in EMDR and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. Currently residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jessica has been a facilitator with Julie’s EMDR trainings since 2020. She is a Co-Coordinator of the Albuquerque Area Trauma Recovery Network and has a private practice in which she provides psychotherapy, consultation and clinical services to a diverse population including children, adults, couples and adolescents. Her clinical expertise includes trauma related disorders, attachment issues, anxiety, depression and grief and loss and she is certified in both Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Obtaining her masters in Social Work from Smith College School of Social Work in 1998, Jessica has been providing clinical services and psychotherapy for over 22 years.
